Workshop – Speaking of the Children Conference, LaVista, Nebraska April 18-19

Please join me for my workshops “When Love is Not Enough:Exploring the Violent Collision of Race, History and Policy in American Indian Transracial Adoption.”  This workshop is designe to understand how historical anti-Indian policies and perceptions are directly tied to contemporary U.S. culture,  explore the complexities of American Indian identity and challenges while living in white communities, andthe importance of adoptive parents to create plans that support thei child’s identitiy within their families and communities.
